Musical Voyage chronicles in song Mr. Rolle’s foremost professional and cultural influences
since he began his studies in Switzerland at the University of Fribourg. Works from the Baroque,
German Romantic, French Post Romantic, and Contemporary American schools are represented on the
disc which Mr. Rolle recorded at New York’s Town Hall accompanied by piano, string quartet,
and clarinet. Mr. Rolle, Swiss born and a U.S. resident since 1994, also featured three American
Spirituals as examples of a singularly American art form.
Thus, Musical Voyage embraces five distinct musical styles, and four languages.
The CD has been extremely well received by critics, and Mr. Rolle has been interviewed on radio stations
from New York to Las Vegas, where he also appeared on television on the nationally syndicated
The Dennis Bono Show.
